Pollux Frankfurt

A second life

Pollux Frankfurt

The Pollux building in Frankfurt is a 130 metres high office, built in the 1990’s, with a timeless design. After it was abandoned, it was ready for a marketing- and sustainability impetus. OVG Real Estate immediately saw the chances and opportunities for this building.

Pollux was designed by the New York architect bureau Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, completed in 1997 and meets all the requirements of a modern office building. The building is centrally located between the financial centre and the Europaviertel in Frankfurt. Together with its ‘little brother’ Kastor, Pollux forms the Forum Frankfurt. The 32 floors, the height of 130 metres and the total area of 32,000 m² are very suitable for realising diverse office concepts. In addition the building has an underground parking for 360 cars.

OVG Real Estate has preserved Pollux as an asset manager, has attracted new tenants and has, as such, reinvigorated the building. These efforts resulted in Pollux being the first building outside the United Kingdom, to be granted the sustainability certificate ‘BREEAM-In-Use Excellent’. This means that the building is sustainable in use as well as in management.

Pollux’s main tenants are Commerzbank AG, Heussen Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft and Salans GmbH.
