Premiere for new DGNB Plaque
Platinum for HumboldtHafenEins at the EXPO REAL
For the first time the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) has awarded the new Platinum Plaque: OVG Real Estate received the award for the Berlin office building HumboldtHafenEins on Monday.
Coen van Oostrom, founder and CEO of OVG Real Estate emphasised: “The award of the Platinum Plaque encourages us on our way to erecting future-oriented office properties with innovative technologies.”
HumboldtHafenEins is currently the “greenest office building in Berlin” and is among the top ten sustainable office buildings in Germany. The managing director of OVG Germany, Martin Rodeck, highlighted the award of the certificate: “The fact that we have received the Platinum Plaque for our first new building project in Germany is both an affirmation and encouragement for us.”

The office building in the immediate vicinity of the Berlin Central Railway Station has its own integrated block heating power plant, ventilation system with 75% heat recovery, energetic optimised air-conditioning, a façade with the best insulation rating as well as triple glazing. The DGNB object evaluation certifies that HumoldtHafenEins satisfies 90.4 per cent of the total requirements.
