OVG Real Estate develops new location for office building at Südkreuz Berlin

OVG Real Estate bought an approx.10,000-sqm land property at the Südkreuz rail station in Berlin-Schöneberg and has thus taken a first step in another project development within the capital of Germany.

The property Sachsendamm 55-60 is located between Sachsendamm and the square in front of the railway station, Hildegard-Knef Platz. OVG plans to build 30,000 sqm of office space as well as a separate hotel building on the newly acquired plot. Planning maturity is to be reached by the second quarter of 2017. Completion is planned for the third quarter of 2019.

The Südkreuz railway station is not only an intersection of city-rail and long-distance railway lines. The Airport Express, the direct route to BER airport,  runs here too and the location is directly connected to the urban motorway.

OVG Real Estate is currently developing numerous office buildings in Berlin, among them the “Grand Central Berlin” at the Berlin Central Station as well as “M_Eins” and the “East Side Tower” at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin-Friedrichshain. “HumboldtHafenEins”, already finished, was awarded the Platinum certificate by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen (DGNB).
