Sherveen Baftechi, Executive Development Director OVG Real Estate said of the opportunity: “OVG looks at approaching buildings differently. The way it develops its product, building it to be smart by integrating high technologies, sustainable, circular or even energy neutral, and approaching it as a place to stimulate well-being – differentiates OVG’s development strategy from industry counterparts. I am excited to start bringing OVG’s vision to this market – one with so much potential – with a proven concept and to have the opportunity to transform the way people in America experience their work spaces, creating smarter cities.”

OVG works in close partnership with world-leading companies, as well as financial partners and developers that share its vision on smart buildings and healthy workspaces. Recently, OVG announced its partnership with global steel producer thyssenkrupp, integrating the world’s first horizontal elevator Multi of which the first will be placed in OVG’s latest project ‘East Side Tower’ in Berlin. The project has been slated to be a flagship project for innovative building and utilisation technologies, and also one of the tallest buildings in the city.

OVG aspires to the highest standards in greener, smarter and healthier living. Its flagship project The Edge was awarded the highest score ever recorded by BREEAM (Building Research Establishment), the global assessor of sustainable buildings. The 40,000 square metre (430,000 square foot) Grade A office building achieved a score of 98.36 percent. This project took this title from One Embankment Place in London. OVG’s ambition is to bring this motto of excellence to the USA.
