OVG Real Estate sells Spark building to the Central Government Real Estate Agency

The Central Government Real Estate Agency (Rijksvastgoedbedrijf), which initially planned to sign a long-term lease for the Spark building, has decided to buy the property from OVG Real Estate. The building, which is around 12,800 m2 in size, will be completed at the end of 2018. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) will move into the building in early 2019. Preparations for this move are well underway.

Spark is a sustainable redevelopment project by OVG Real Estate in which the energy label is to be raised from a G label to an A label. Every aspect of the building, from design to high-tech facilities and services, focuses on the comfort, convenience and well-being of the users. Spark offers an innovative working environment equipped with a robust, high-tech infrastructure, making it a great future-proof addition to the portfolio of the Central Government Real Estate Agency.

Spark will be housing the European Medicines Agency (EMA), which is moving from London to Amsterdam. Until the permanent building in Zuidas is finished, EMA will be housed in Spark.
